Black Girls in Design:
Insight: In the UK's creative industries, there is still a significant problem with racial bias and gender discrimination. Even though it is a 1.2 billion pound industry, it is still heavily restricted to the upper-middle-class white male sections of society.
Aim: To educate, to provide opportunities to the under-represented sections of the creative industries.
Strategy: To create a platform that would not only bridge the gap but also help the under-represented sections to be eligible enough to compete with their heavily dominated male counterparts.
We began an Instagram campaign to connect with aspiring black artists online. It was a big success as many young artists started reaching out to us on social media.
